Den 24. februar 2023 markerer et år med krig i Ukraine. Et år med tab af menneskeliv, massive humanitære behov, millioner af mennesker på flugt og enorme ødelæggelser. Konsekvenserne af krigen er mange og rækker langt ind i fremtiden og langt ud over Ukraines grænser. Det sætter vi fokus på i en dialog og udstilling på Børsen i København i anledningen af årsdagen for krigens start.

Siden krigens udbrud har niveauet af engagement været højt blandt danske og internationale virksomheder, fonde og fra befolkningen i forhold til at støtte den humanitære respons i Ukraine og nabolandene - og ukrainske flygtninge i Danmark. Udenrigsminister Lars Løkke Rasmussen deltager og giver en status, set med den danske regerings øjne, et år efter invasionen.

Gennem en modereret dialog vil blandt andet Dansk Erhverv, Salling Group, DRC Dansk Flygtningehjælp, JYSK og den ukrainske ambassadør i Danmark rette spotlyset mod dette engagement og diskutere, hvordan en bred palet af aktører kan bidrage til af afbøde både de akutte humanitære behov for de millioner, der er blevet fordrevet, men også se fremad i forhold til, hvordan vi bedst kan støtte på længere sigt.

Til eventet vil fotograf Jan Grarup vise nye billeder fra Ukraine og fortælle om oplevelser og mennesker, han har mødt på sine rejser til frontlinjen i svært tilgængelige egne af det krigshærgede land det forgangne år.

Om fotoudstillingen:
Det seneste år har fotograf Jan Grarup flere gange rejst rundt i Ukraine for at dokumentere krigens mange facetter.

Fotoudstillingen tager publikum med helt ud til frontlinjerne, til de sværest tilgængelige områder af det krigshærgede land. En stærk visuel skildring af de seneste 365 dages kampe og angreb, som har efterladt store dele af især Øst-Ukraine i ruiner.

24 February 2023 marks a year of war in Ukraine. A year of lost lives, massive humanitarian needs, millions of people displaced and enormous destruction. The consequences of the war are numerous, reaching far into the future and far beyond Ukraine's borders. We will focus on the war and its many consequences in a dialogue and exhibition at Børsen in Copenhagen, marking the anniversary of the start of the war.  

Since the outbreak of the war, commitment has been high among Danish and international companies, foundations and the general public in supporting the humanitarian response in Ukraine and neighbouring countries - and Ukrainian refugees in Denmark. Minister of foreign affairs Lars Løkke Rasmussen will pariticipate, and present the view of the danish government on the situation one year after the invasion. 

Through conversation, Dansk Erhverv, Salling Group, DRC Danish Refugee Council, JYSK and the Ukrainian ambassador to Denmark will shine a spotlight on these commitments. We will discuss how a wide range of actors can contribute to alleviating the acute humanitarian needs of the millions who have been displaced, and also look ahead at how these actors can best support in the longer term.   

At the event, photographer Jan Grarup will exhibit new photos from Ukraine and talk about the people he has met and his experiences traveling to the frontline and hard-to-reach parts of the war-torn country.

About the photo exhibition: 
Over the past year, photographer Jan Grarup has travelled around Ukraine several times to document the many facets of war.  

The photo exhibition takes the audience to the front lines, to the most inaccessible areas of the war-torn country. A powerful visual depiction of the past 365 days of fighting and attacks that have left large parts of Ukraine, in particular the east, in ruins.
